Experience a weekend of creativity, harmony and bliss amongst the magical redwoods of the Santa Cruz Mountains in Soquel, California. Enjoy daily movement & meditation, feast on delicious vegetarian meals, stay in lovely accommodations, and explore the surrounding forests. Land of Medicine Buddha is a sacred, tranquil place with temples, statues, and hidden gems throughout the grounds. It’s the perfect setting to reignite your inner glow.
Host Karen Adamski of ShamaMama.com will provide you with soothing and restorative meditation and sound healing. Special guests will be on-hand for movement and exploration activities. Karen will also be guiding you through a special craft lesson. Special guests (TBA) will be on-hand to share their teachings. PLUS, there will drumming amongst the redwoods, personal blessings and prayers hosted by Mama Earth.….not to be missed! More than anything, this is a time for you to reconnect to your true self. Seacliff State Beach and Brighton State Beach are just about 15 minutes away by car. Visit the Pacific on one of your breaks. Or, simply explore the acres of magical land were you will be staying. The quaint costal town of Soquel is a fun spot for shopping and sightseeing. Santa Cruz in 10 minutes north, and Monterey is 35 minutes south. If you choose to extend your trip, there are lots of fun and beautiful options for you to explore. This is easy territory to extend your trip.

Full payment for event is due by Saturday May 10, 2025.
We welcome all levels of artistic zen masters, even beginners. No matter your artistic experience, physical strength and/or meditation experience…..you will fit right in.
Alcohol and meat are not permitted at Land of Medicine Buddha to honor the Buddhists who live on the grounds.
Cell coverage is very spotty. There is a pay phone and WiFi available.

After a dedicated 39-year career teaching special education, Karen Gillette has transitioned into retirement and now shares her lifelong passion for art through intuitive painting classes. Her deep love for art has always been a significant part of her life, and she now channels this enthusiasm into teaching others. In her classes, she encourages students to trust their intuition and explore creativity by playing with paint. Her teaching approach focuses on the joy of artistic expression and self-discovery. Nearest airports are San Jose (about an hour) San Francisco (about 90 minutes) , and Oakland (about 2 hours). Please give yourself lots of time for traffic on a Friday!
Pricing
– Your registration includes all lodging, meals and materials for a 2 night/3 day stay at Land of Medicine Buddha.
– Balance can be made in 2 installments via Venmo, PayPal, check, cash or credit card, for an additional $50 service charge.
– Balance due in full by May 10, 2025.
You may hold your spot with a $200 deposit
