Yurt (double)
Cozy double person yurt in this walk-in campground, nestled in a quiet and inspiring redwood grove, offers double-occupancy yurts and a few campsites for up to 25 guests. Each yurt is furnished with a full sized futon and one single bed. Each yurt has electricity and the beds come with a heated mattress cover. All linens are provided. In the center of the campsite is a central building with a small kitchen and two bathrooms which include toilets, showers and bathtub. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, tea/coffee making equipment, a microwave and sink. In the interest of providing a quiet, relaxing experience while staying at Land of Medicine Buddha, our rooms do not include televisions, telephones, clocks, or internet access. A centrally-located payphone enables guests to use the telephone should the need arise. Wireless internet access is available in some rooms at the request of group leaders. About accessibility: The Yurt Village is not suitable for wheel chairs. There is one accessible yurt (Yurt 8) in a different location, near the Wish-fulfilling Temple. All yurt guests should keep in mind that: There is no shuttle service to the Yurt Village. You will need to carry your own luggage. The road is not paved. Tent Platform
Pitch your own tent on a wooden tent platform amongst temples and redwood trees. Such a unique camping opportunity. Tent platforms are a 1/2 mile walk from the parking lot. Each platform is located near a central building with a small kitchen and two bathrooms which include toilets, showers and bathtub. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, tea/coffee making equipment, a microwave and sink. In the interest of providing a quiet, relaxing experience while staying at Land of Medicine Buddha, our rooms do not include televisions, telephones, clocks, or internet access. A centrally-located payphone enables guests to use the telephone should the need arise. Wireless internet access is available in some rooms at the request of group leaders. Fires are not permitted.

This stunning venue, Land of Medicine Buddha, rests within the redwoods, and is only minutes away from the Pacific Ocean, making it an energetic hot spot, and the perfect place to reflect, retreat and create.

Experience a weekend of harmony and bliss amongst the magical redwoods of the Santa Cruz Mountains in Soquel, California. Enjoy daily movement & meditation, feast on delicious vegetarian meals, stay in lovely accommodations, and explore the surrounding forests. Land of Medicine Buddha is a sacred, tranquil place with temples, statues, and hidden gems throughout the grounds.  The energy of this land is very special and powerful. Guests continue to return year after year to the serenity of this place.

Host Karen Adamski of ShamaMama.com will provide you with soothing and restorative meditation and sound healing.  Special guest Tom Walsh will guide you through Qigong movements. Karen will also be guiding you through how to paint your own personal and powerful Buddha.  Yep…you get to create a Buddha at the Land Of Medicine Buddha!  Plus, there will drumming amongst the redwoods….not to be missed!

Seacliff State Beach and Brighton State Beach are just about 15 minutes away by car. Visit the Pacific on one of your breaks.  Or, simply explore the acres of magical land were you will be staying.

Important Things to Know

**We have decided to add some precautions to prevent the spread of Covid-19.  Twenty-four (24) hours prior to the event, we will require proof of a negative Covid test.  Please send a photo of your negative test to [email protected]

We welcome all levels of artistic zen masters, even beginners.  No matter your artistic experience, physical strength and/or meditation experience…..you will fit right in.

Alcohol and meat are not permitted at Land of Medicine Buddha to honor the Buddhists who live on the grounds.

Unless you have Verizon, cell phones will not work. There is a pay phone and WiFi available.

About Your Retreat Guide
